Our Professional Skills Training (PST) program provides two weeks (60 hours) of career-focused, job readiness and soft skills training to prepare individuals for a successful and rewarding career in the hospitality and customer service industries. The skills taught in the PST program are transferable and designed to build confidence and ensure a participant’s success in both the workplace and in life.
The PST program is offered at no cost and focuses on three (3) key areas:

- Developing a growth mindset

- Teamwork and building relationships
- Handling difficult conversations
- Managing conflict
- Customer service
Participants will also engage in financial literacy, mental health and legal aid workshops, and have opportunities to listen to employer presentations to learn about their respective businesses and potential employment opportunities.
MND clients who successfully complete this two-week PST program are eligible to earn their Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP) Certification through the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI).
